Wow. I had to go to the grocery store and I lost reception with the Yankees up 4-3. Got a little reception and was able to see on Gameday that two men were on base, no outs and Holmes on the mound. I assumed Holmes walked them then I lost reception again. Assumed the worst. OMG!!!

Great way to start. Like that they're battling out wins and not relying on the HR to do it. Holmes still scares me as a closer but lets hope he can go on another run like he did a couple years ago when nobody could touch him. That happens and look out. This new Soto guy looks pretty good too.

Holmes had nothing, but a really solid defensive team behind him. And luck. Alvarez had the game won, but the ball fell 2 inches foul.

I loved that take of #6. Most guys would have been hacking at that one.

Berti pulled a miracle of his own.

Wonder if Oswaldo gets to that ball. I've re-watched the 9th inning at least three times. And, once again, I love Verdugo's elated enthusiasm.

Plus the Gleyber stole base was 🔥 He had 3rd swiped on Soto’s hit too. I said to my dad before he stole 2nd that hader wasn’t even watching him, he should take the base.

Game 4 takeaways: Soto is a hitting machine. Controlled at bat vs Hader. Got a 3-2 FB off plate, went w/ it & lashed tie-breaking RBI single. Berti got (defensive) save and Burdi got 1st W since 2019. Schmidt featured solid mix. Needs to pitch deeper in game. Pen wobbled but won.

BTW, y'all HAVE to listen to Sterling broadcast the 9th inning. Great recommendation. Glad I knew the ending. Holmes had incredible luck. All three outs were close to being disasters.
