2 things before I share this. 1, I'm not providing a link for this. Trust me, it's out there, and it's big (and ugly). 2, This resonates big time with me, because about 30 years ago, I paid to have inaugural bricks at 2 facilities, both in honor of my mother , who had recently passed: First, the ballpark of the Somerset Patriots in Jersey, at the time an independent minor league team affiliated with no major league team (but now part of the Yankee umbrella); and Second NJPAC, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. The sales pitch definitely gave the vibe that this was something for posterity (or is it maternity?)
However, about 15(?) years ago when San Fran built Pac Bell, which is now Oracle Park, the Giants took a similar path, and sold commemorative tiles.
But Oracle decided this year to dig them all up and throw them away, though they have committed to having an online memory book with each message preserved.
How appalling is that?

lol we don’t matter if it helps the bottom line …there’s no honor in big business …. Greed has taken over the world …. Society is descending into the abyss …. Religion is slowly disappearing in every denomination and that’s not good ….whether you’re a fan of religion or not it’s what’s been holding society together for centuries …. Sad really
