We have driven from the game, and are at a McDonald's off rt 17 North in Upstate New York. Heading to Corfu, near Batavia. Maybe 100 miles away?

Here it is supposed to start at 2:04 and end at 4:38, with the peak at 3:20. The sun is supposed to be covered 92%. It should be sunny in Franklin county. I’m getting all my chores tended to in the morning as I have to be driving around. I plan to stay inside when it all occurs. Personally I understand that people are excited, I’m not among them. The birds may be understandably concerned. It will be a little early for their bedtime. And personally, I don’t trust any idiots driving around at that time.

I'm not going anywhere tomorrow, I'll watch from my yard. I forgot she's here Yankin', where's she going again?

I didn't have 100 miles to go, more like 350. We drove be from the Bronx (last pitch 4:48) with one stop at a McDonald's and one other for a quick pee. Just got here at 11:50. Long, arduous drive, but we're excited to see it, and hope for clear skies. We were ready to try from the Stadium, but when they moved the game to 6, that killed that.

I don't understand Knux. If you're 7 hours away from the Stadium how were you seeing the eclipse then getting to the game, regardless of what time first pitch was?

Here in Indiana, we are in the path of totality. At 3:10 pm will be 100%, should be pretty cool.
Being the head of Dispatch for Public Safety agencies in our County, we have been planning for the last 3-4 months for a large influx of people coming into our area for the eclipse. Our County has around 40k people and expecting to double that number for the day. Already getting interesting.

We would have cancelled our hotel and watched the eclipse from the Stadium if they hadn't switched the game from 2 pm to 6 pm. No way we're seeing any of the Monday game now

Would have been cool and weird to have it happen during the game. I get it though, that's a huge distraction with everyone wearing their goofy glasses while looking at the sky instead of the game. At least now you'll have (hopefully) good radio to listen to on the drive back.

It got fairly dark here about 3:25. We were supposed to have a 92% eclipse. I’m nuts. I can’t see any reason to get moved, excited or have an out of body experience from this. Some say it brought them to tears, a moving experience . I guess I’m nuts. I went next door to my neighbors patio. He has extra special glasses plus one of those special telescopes that you see the eclipse by looking at the screen just under the eye piece. I don’t know what you call them. But he has seen every Star Wars movie that ever came out. I haven’t seen any. But he’s a really nice guy. I thanked him.

We've left. God bless New York State troopers, who let us drive out asses off as long as we got out of town.
We got pretty much clouded out. Had a great spot, had a great time. Got very dark.
Back to work and baseball.
