Imo anything that touches the strike zone box or 2 inches outside is a strike because it is hittable. Catchers teach to pitchers to paint the black and few inches outside of the box.

Viewed from the perspective of my seats behind home plate, though very much above it (and therefore more likely to be correct as to inside or outside, less so high or low), no ump -- not Bacon, not even Angel -- has been as bad as the guy manning home plate on Opening Day: Jimenez.

Maybe if they implement a review option next year, it will make things better. Make it one per at bat for pitcher and batter. Shouldn’t take more than 30 seconds, though it could definitely add to the game times.
