April 13 a strange -- part good, part bad -- Yankee history day 20 years apart. In 1978, it was Reggie Candy Bar day. Reggie hit a 3-run first-inning home run in the 4-2 Yankee win over the Chisox, and fans peppered the field with their free treats.
Twenty years later, a beam fell in the loge, cementing plans that would call for the demise of the House That Ruth Built, and its eventual replacement by the new palace across 161st Street.
