He's not been good on either side of the ball, guys.
He seems to be a sensitive kind of guy. Recall a couple seasons ago when the trade rumours swirled during the deadline, and he basically hung his head and was sad for about 2 months. His game really suffered from it.
Now he's making errors, missing balls, running into outs and not hitting.
Yes, it's early. And yes, he can recover. But we really need him to be good and not Sad.

I agree 100%, been really down and out. He has not contributed at all, just the opposite.

It’s an important year for him, so hopefully he’ll rebound. In my opinion he uses his first two strikes to try and hit homers. I think he is much more effective swinging level through the zone instead of optimizing his launch angle. I believe he thinks hitting homers will maximize his free agent value. Unfortunately, he’s probably right
