1st matchup of the year with the team we will be battling it out all season for the AL East crown. Can Clarke Schmidt throw 6 quality innings? Tonight would be a good game to do it. Grayson Rodriguez who got beat up last week by the Angels looking to rebound.

Marakovitz wasn't in Milwaukee? Or just yesterday?

I'm stuck with Oriole announcers.
Verdugo will be badly missed. He's been terrific.

Kimbrel might not be available against the Yankees. He appeared to be suffering from back stiffness yesterday and took the loss (he stuff still looked good to me). It will be great if the Yankees don’t have to face him this series

His pitches do have great movement though.

I really don’t know why Grishman doesn’t work in the batting cage practicing to hit line drives. He has some speed, so he might even be a decent base stealer. I know, he did hit a home run, but as the saying goes even a blind squirrel will find a nut one day.

That was a tough top of the sixth. So close to blowing it open.

Fwiw, Sevy and Taillon in a 1-1 pitching duel. Cubbies didn't get their 1st hit until the 8th.

Tough loss, maybe tomorrow. These aren’t the old Orioles.

Tough game to be Boone. Top of the ninth, one out, man on base and Grishman scheduled to bat. He looks to his bench and he has Trammek, Jones, and Navarez. I’m sure his wondering how management can put him in this position.

Another shut out. Team is still inconsistent at best.
Had a lead off man twice and we didn’t play small ball at one time against a good bullpen.
The offense out bursts may have been a teased. Let’s hope they turn it around tomorrow.
