Weaver a 30 year old former 1st Round Draft pick that had his career impacted by injuries. He looks healthy and making the most of his 2nd chance in having a good career. Boone has the utmost confidence in him as a multi inning pitcher. 🤞
All his years in baseball and it’s starting to click for him. Luke is guaranteed $2 million as part of his one-year contract. The deal includes a team option for 2025 and performance bonuses that can get him up to a combined maximum earning of $8.25M over this season and 2025 combined.

That Boone left him in after the 1-out base hit in the 8th was telling.
Disappointing outing from Ferguson.

I agree with what 2¢ said, that he was the beneficiary of some questionable calls in the 2 called strike outs in the 8th. But his work in the 6th, wow. After struggling through 9 balls and 11 strikes from Caleb, 3 swinging strikes was a breath of fresh air. Ferguson needs to throw more strikes to get more calls.

BTW, I can't let it pass without saying how much fun the Stadium brought with their "Fourth" celebration. Some of the player blurbs were goofy, some funny. Loved Juan Solo, surprised they didn't call him Han.
Started the festivities with the intro crawl detailing what manner of dastardly enemies were invading the Stadium.
Glad we vanquished the stormtroopers.

Ball four was strike three.
