The New York Yankees announced today that they have signed Manager Aaron Boone to a two year contract extension through the 2027 season.

I'd say managing your team to the WS in 2024 deserves a couple more years of employment.
The roster has taken quite a shakeup this year, will be interesting to see what he does it with it.
Post season or bust as usual. Don't screw that up again, Boonie!

It's absolutely the right move Also managers salaries arent part of the luxury tax computation so it doesnt mean he's "safe" for the length of the deal either

I think he's a good manager and has generally done a good job. Like all of you, there are times I have disagreed with some of his strategy, but I'm happy he's been extended.

I just wish he did a better job with some of his bullpen moves in the playoffs.

Not surprised since the Yankees made the WS. I like him overall as a manager, but like others have said I definitely question some of his strategy. Let’s play ball!

Anybody want to name a manager you followed for several years while at times NOT disagreeing with a decision they made?

Joe Torres. He was a great manager and team builder. I do remember feeling he sometimes kept relievers in too long,
