I see on the golf channel last night the PGA is going to have a tour event in DC this Summer, for the first time in a few years.
Speculation is it's going to be at The Congressional, but they're not announcing it yet.
Yes, Tiger will be in the field.
I'm jealous of you folks in the area. It's going to be a huge event.

Tiger is a "maybe" Goo...his wife is due right around that time.
The PGA might as well change its name to: Tiger Tour. Only events he plays in make anything, all else go bankrupt.

I love the sport...but I can't stand watching it on TV...but I could imagine it must be great to see the tour in person.

I feel the same as 90. Watching it on TV is like watching paint dry! But going to an event must be awesome. I do love watching tennis though.

Well, the Tiger Woods foundation is the tournaments primary host, so it would probably take a baby's arrival to change his itinerary. Tournament is set for the 4th of July weekend.

Tiger may skip the British Open due to the baby.
But, he will definitely be here in Pittsburgh for the 2007 US Open!
Those tickets are murder to get, BTW.

Speaking of a Tiger Tour ..... Tiger only really seems to care about playing in the majors. And the PGA has no control of those....so what's stopping Tiger from hosting 12-15 events a year around the world ... inviting only the 30 to 40 highest rated golfers ... stealing all of the PGAs thunder and TV coverage ... plus all the revenue from the television contract, monster $$$$$ ... and still playing in the 4 majors.... Answer: Absolutely Nothing could stop it!!!! We'll just have to wait and see.
