Hey I've only been here two weeks and this is a nice board. ..and I don't want to be out of line as a newbie...That said, The thread titles around here are as confusing as they can get....Couldn't they be Juuuuust a bit more descriptive, relating to what the post is actually about? Some titles on the current first page...[no disrespect to the post starters] 'Well friends' 'If anybodys interested' 'Tanyon Sturtze'...and 'Consider this the founding..' UmmmmHuh? But if you guys like it like this, I'm cool with that..

Duely noted Hoss. Thanks for the suggestions and especially the compliments. I sort of like the play on words at times. Thanks for your contributions to BTB. In the words of a living legend.

I'd like to further that request. If a topic is nothing more than a link to a newspaper article, can we maybe add a comment about it? I come here to read the views of the other members, not to click on article links. I can find all the articles I want without coming to this forum.

Skinny, I know I'm one you're talking about, as I post a fair amount of article links. My policy is (generally) only post article links of stories that have just broken within the hour or are at most 2 hours old....that's my policy anyway, otherwise I assume most people have already seen the story. And I'm not always going to have a comment at that time, that's just me. From now on I'll add to the subject heading "article link only", or maybe just "ALO", to give fair warning.

Thanks, dyf. I definitely didn't want this to come across as derogatory or ungrateful, as I know that links to articles can be very helpful and welcome by many.

No problem Skinny, it's good to know these things. I enjoy bringing the board breaking news when I can, which, with my job, is often possible. I manage a couple of mobilehome parks and things are, in general, often slow, so I often have time to be on the internet and keep an eye on the newswires.
