phil,
i was creating an avatar and mistakingly saved the smaller pic over the original. luckily (i think) i set the original pic as my desktop background. how do i resave the background pic? any help would be great, thanks!

Niner, If I understand your question correctly (you have the original pic set as your desktop, and you want to know how to save the file as a JPEG on your hard drive?), your desktop background may be stored either in My Pictures (as at home for me), or, as it is here at work, in C:/Documents and Settings/yourusername/Application Data/Microsoft/Internet Explorer. It should be saved in either location as a JPEG, so you could just copy and paste it to whatever folder you want it in. Hope this helps.

Chances are your wallpaper is a bmp. DO a search on *.bmp or *.jpg and you may find it
