They were 0-10 with a tie before finally winning one? What gives?
Westchester (and New York btw) are very bad at covering the minors, Westchester because we have no teams, and New York (apparently) because they don't consider Staten Island and the Coney Island section of Brooklyn to be part of the city.
With all the young talent I saw in Tampa I'm surprised our AA club is off to such a horrendous start. Is no one playing well?

I took a quick look at their roster, and it seems to me that virtually all of the real talent (guys who regularly get mentioned in D23's and other minor league reports) is either in single A somewhere, or at Columbus. Trenton does seem pretty barren right now.

Trenton is fairly barren. They have Kevin Howard and Tyler Clippard but they are really lacking upper level talent

At this point, there are only 5 good bats on the roster: Rudy Guillen, who has potential, but isn't showing it yet. Bronson Sardinha-- Ditto. Shelly Duncan--hitting .250 with 1 HR. Kevin Howard--off to a good start. Justin Christian--Ditto. The Catchers (Omir Santos and Tommy Rojas) have combined for 4 hits in 38 AB's . Pitching--SP Steven White and RP TJ Beam are the bright spots thus far.

Trenton (25-25) reached .500 today. They've won 3 straight and 7 out of 10. Tyler Clippard pitched great, but got a ND. 7 IP 2 H 2 ER 8 K 0 BB. He is 2-6 with a 4.07 ERA..... his record is a testament to how bad Trenton's hitting was early in the season. J Brent Cox got the win with 2 scoreless innings.

Steven White (4-1) lowered his ERA to 2.11 with 7 shutout innings in the 1st game of a doubleheader. After 11 AA starts, it's time to bring him up to Columbus (along with J Brent Cox and TJ Beam).
Trenton is 2 games over .500 and 1.5 games out of 1st place.

Sounds good and even Tyler Clippard has been strong in recent weeks. Give those guys another month. Besides, we got a logjam of veteran AAA guys on the Clippers roster. I'm like Veras. TJ Beam is apparently on the Yankees front office "top guys". I think they are going to take him step at a time...Even Pope is looking good according to some folks. I guess if the vets in Columbus pans out, they got Cox, Beam, Pope waiting in the wings...Nice to have...

C Jason Brown was demoted from Columbus to Trenton. OF Todd Self was released by Trenton. P Erik Abreu (missed 2005 due to injury) was moved from the Karsay league to Charleston. Keep an eye on Abreu.

That's "one from Colome, and none from Column B."
I guess, come to think of it, "Column B" could refer to the Clippers.

I followed the Thunder's 1st game today and was concerned when Clippard left the game so early, but their website reports the following:
"Thunder starter Tyler Clippard worked 4 1/3 shutout innings, but left the game as he is scheduled to make his next start on three days rest. Jesus Colome (2-0) worked two innings of relief for the win."
After 3 horrible starts in a row( 12.2 IP 18 ER), Clippard hasn't allowed a run in his last 2 starts (7.0 innings and 4.1 innings).
