More good stuff from Clippard (7-10) in today's 9-1 win:

Eric Duncan hit another HR, his 10th.

Clippard (8-10 3.80 ERA) strikes again:
6.2 IP 6 H 3 R (2 ER) 0 BB 9 K.
J B Cox pitched a scoreless 9th for his 1st save.
Justin Christian stole his 50th base.
I read that Pope is injured (I'm not sure of the details), so Cox will get a chance to close for a while.

Justin Christian hit a HR and..... of course..... stole his 57th base in Trenton's 4-2 loss. I'd like to see him steal 70+ this season.

Trenton is on fire. They have won 8 of 10 and 5 straight. They have a 6.5 game division lead with 17 games remaining. Trenton trailed by 1.5 games 11 games ago.
Matt DeSalvo got the win.... a definite rarity.

Eric Duncan was placed on the 7-day DL Friday, another blow in a miserable season.

Tyler Clippard got a ND in his last 2006 regular season start. 7 IP 2 H 1 BB 8 K. No score. Trenton is batting in the bottom of the 8th. Trenton lost 2-0 in 11 innings. The game just ended a few minutes ago (1.5 hr. rain delay and 17 minute lights delay didn't help)....... AND IT WAS THE 1ST GAME OF A DH!! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)
