I'm glad that we got that run in the ninth, not only because it won the game, but also because if we had gone extra innings tied at three, that Japanese run that was taken away by a terrible call by the umpire, Davidson, would have left an even worse taste in everyone's mouth. People would have said that Japan had won the game, had we not scored that last run. At least now, people can say that we would have tied the score anyway, so really it is not that Japan was denied victory, because they would not have won with that run, but rather that the tying US run, became the winning one.

Eat it, Hopp. A-Rod, the best player in MLB. Your team could have him if they had the balls to "sack up." Glad for me, those weaklings in Boston pulled up short yet again.

Orlando Cabrera was better than Alex Rodriguez?

Orlando Cabrera was better than Alex Rodriguez? No, but no one else on the Yankees would have cried when he got hit on an armored elbow by a Arroyo curveball. V-Tek wouldn't have had to discipline anyone then, therefore, the spark that started the Red Sox second half would not have been lit. ;D

Anybody, either on the Red Sox or the Yankees, or on any other team, for that matter, would have barked at Cornroyo for hitting him intentionally (or have you conveniently forgotten that Brandon is the heir to Petey's headhunting crown?). If Coward-Tek's starting a fight with his mask on is what turned the Red Sox season around, then their championship is tainted - due to the dirty tactics of their captain.
