I may not be the prolific poster I once was...But that don't mean I don't think of this wonderful and dysfunctional family often...and that it was Phil that kept us together...and ya know what?
He Still Does!
Love Ya and Miss Ya...EVERY DAY!

For those that couldn't attend the Yankee Stadium PA Announcer actually read the tribute. Unfortunately we didn't know when it would appear other than the 5th inning. So I positioned myself in the middle of the 4th. I had my camera with hands shaking zoomed in on the smaller announcement screen. Therefore I missed the shot. Tom is the one who got it. Now you know the full story. Hi John - Didn't I send you an audio file of the announcer reading this? Is it embedded here somewhere? -James

I tried to upload the voiceover that Paul Olden graciously recorded for us, but the site would not let me. But I think you can listen to it here: Phil Tribute voiceover

It was such an honor to meet Paul Olden yesterday after the game. What a wonderful guy! It's fabulous, Brooklyn Bomber, that we can hear Paul's audio tribute to Phil. Thank you so much for putting it up here.

Thank you so much for putting it up here. Glad you enjoyed it Lefteroo! I have actually had the clip for years - somehow never made onto the board, but 5th anniversary our Phil-less reunion seems like not a bad time, too

Bomber emailed it to me years ago but for some reason I took no action on it. Inexplicable.

Bomber emailed it to me years ago but for some reason I took no action on it. Inexplicable. Meh, maybe it was meant to be saved, give us a little smile a few years later

I didn't realize he was almost exactly my age. I'm 12 days older. He should still be with us.
