Would there ever be a way to Stratomatic this scenario?
All time Yanks: C - Berra 1B - Gehrig 2B - Scooter ( yeah, Gf moved him over) SS - Jeter 3B - Arod LF - DiMaggio CF - Mantle RF - Ruth P - Whitey DH - Mattingly RP - Mo
All time All Timers C - Bench 1B - Murray 2B - Hornsby SS - Wagner 3B - Schmidt LF - Aaron CF - Mays RF - Musial P - Koufax DH - Williams RP - Hoffmann
It's kind of amazing just how dominant the Yanks have been that they can field a team that holds its own against the best ever.

DiMaggio over Rickey? Ha ha ha.
I think Foxx would be the all other 1B. 2B for Yanks either Cano or Lazzeri, maybe Gordon. Even Willie over Scooter. Keep Phil as Jeter's defensive replacement. I love Donnie, but I'd probably go with Reggie or Keller as DH. But fun stuff to think about, can't say I've never done this myself and came up with pretty much the same list.

Agreed on Cano or Lazzeri at 2B. But I'd go with Donnie as DH - a MUCH better hitter than Reggie or King Kong, and before his back injury had pretty good power.

Agree on Donnie for DH.
DiMaggio over Rickey...let's not underestimate just how amazing he was.
Foxx over Murray hands down.
And yes...Cano at 2B no question.

Mattingly?
Put Henderson in OF and DH Ruth...or Winfield...all 3 are all time hall of famers. Mattingly is a Yankee legend but he’s not even in HOF.
Clemens on mound...and it’s not even close

With the exception of Arod, GF tried to go with career Yankees....
Yeah yeah, the Babe was a Red Sox, but still....

Henderson is the GOAT leadoff hitter of all time AB you insist on completely missing the point of Friar's post...we are talking about " All time Yanks"...which he stressed once again. Ricky played 5 years for us....out of 25. Winnie only played 9 of his 22 years with us....as good as he was with us Donnie still outperformed him (and Henderson) as a Yankee. Joe Charbonwho?

AB...this brings to mind a post quite a while ago where you listed Henderson as a greater Yankee OFer than DiMaggio.
I seem to recall falling out of my chair laughing when I read that.

I seem to recall falling out of my chair laughing when I read that. and you missed my point...that Henderson had a better career than DiMaggio- not JUST yankee accomplishments- all-time accomplishments I mean its not even close, really...to argue otherwise is silly
